Dr. Suh took an impressive amount of time with me on my first visit, using teaching tools and models to give me a clear and thorough explanation of the diagnostic tools, methods, aims of his particular school of chiropractic treatment. While he kept the explanation accessible and light-hearted, I found him to be a dedicated professional who respected me as a patient and invested in informing me and making me a full participant in the discussion about my diagnosis and treatment. I appreciated that he emphasized techniques and methods rather than ideology and trendy rhetoric. Since this was my first visit, I don’t yet have a mature opinion about results. However, the immediate effects of my first adjustment were powerful. I recovered a range of movement that has been lost for a couple of years now. In recent months my results from Physical Therapy have plateaued, and I had begun to despair of recovering that mobility, so to have this result was very moving for me. Dr. Suh was encouraging and supportive while also advising me that full readjustment is a process and offering advise and information about next steps and adjusting my everyday activity to accommodate that process. My first follow up visit is next week, but already I am impressed with Dr. Suh’s follow-through and availability: I had a question after I left his office, and when I texted, he responded promptly with detailed information and advice. In sum, my goal in seeking chiropractic treatment is to regain full mobility, and while I have only had my first visit so far, the immediate results are very promising, and I am very hopeful that Dr. Suh’s treatment may be exactly what I need to achieve my goal. I also find him to be a dedicated professional who is respectful and responsive to my needs and concerns, and invested in engaging me in diagnosis and treatment. — Shiloh W.
Dr. Suh is Amazing!! I have been seeing him for almost a year and my back pain really improved. For my work, I have to travel a lot and every time my back is in pain, he adjusts me and I literally feel better right away! Trust me, you are in good hands, he is a professional and I highly recommend him! — Margherita
I first came to Dr Suh’s office as one extremely suspicious and distrustful of the chiropractic profession as a whole. I’d heard enough stories about how chiropractic was a bunch of baloney. But I was desperate enough to try chiropractic after I suffered a lower back injury lifting weights, and my good friend, who became a chiropractic student after leaving a lucrative Wall St. job, highly recommended Dr Suh to me. Dr Suh certainly did not disappoint. He thoroughly explained his treatment philosophy and the x-ray results, showing me where the problems were (I had a problem with my C3, L4 and sacrum) and how exactly he’d treat me. After just four visits (not including the three subsequent follow-up visits that were free of charge), I felt back to 100%. Dr Suh made me a believer of chiropractic, and when I recently reinjured my back (this time playing football), I went straight to Dr Suh.
My wife also went to see him recently after injuring her back giving birth to our son. It turned out my wife’s sacrum had turned in toward her hip, causing hip pain. Dr Suh managed to fix her up after just one adjustment and she’s been pain free for four months now.
Dr Suh has always been extremely professional and caring toward me and my wife. Dr Suh definitely asks lots of questions (how can anyone get treated without being asked questions??) and he has never just gone through the motions with me. The best thing about Dr Suh is that he is also very much into holistic, organic living and eating and is a believer that a healthy lifestyle that includes a proper diet and exercise will make not only your spine healthier, but your body as well. — Rob C.
I’ve had severe lower back pain over the last 6 years that would cascade to my right leg sometimes. Apart from showing to the best orthopedicians and getting frequent physiotherapy sessions, I had been to more than 5 chiropractors both in Delhi, India and New York. Orthopedicians offered pain-killers, steroid injections or surgery as the last option and I never opted for any. Effects of physiotherapy were transient in my case and the pain would emerge in a day or two. Chiropractors either couldn’t identify the issue and followed a general approach asking 12-15 visits a month or even with the specific treatment they followed couldn’t relieve me of the pain. The pain would be so troubling at times that it affected by productivity and fitness for so many years. Almost giving up on Chiro also, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Suh in Feb after reading reviews from zocdoc and it has been such a blessing since then. Five visits in the last two months and I have no spasm or pains/pricking, without any medication whatsoever. His treatment was so thorough and specific to the core problem. I am sure others who treated me had their best intentions but I would strongly recommend anyone going through such problems to visit Dr. Suh. He has been very generous with his time in explaining everything even though the understanding on my part has been limited. All I wanted was to be relieved of the suffering and that happened. I am compelled to feel obliged by his treatment and wish him the best. — Amil
Dr. Suh is the most caring doctor I’ve ever met. He examined my back problems carefully and caught exactly what conditions i was. i came there with one problem, but was able to get healed other problems i had as well. In every appointment, he nicely explained my condition in detail that i would know exactly what’s going on in my body and how it was changing, so i felt comfortable at ease with him. Also, his follow-up is amazing. After i moved to another country a year later, i wanted to examine my back condition again, so i made a request to Dr. Suh if he has any suggestion or can recommend a doctor in the area for me. He found doctors in the closest area from where i am and followed up my condition. Even later again, he found a doctor in my area who actually practices the same chiropractic method and gave a referral and follow-up to a new doctor with such a good care!
From the first day up to now, i believe that he examines every single patient with the best care.
Just when I was about to give up on chiropractic care and begun to suspect whether chiropractors were quacks, I found Dr. Suh. It’s very seldom that I write a review online, but I felt compelled to write this. Dr. Suh is painstakingly thorough, scientific and attentive in his approach to chiropractic care. Now, I am a dancer who has been to MULTIPLE orthopedists, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists (Active Release, rolfing, myofascial release), acupuncture and through all types of movement approaches (Alexander, Feldenkrais, etc.), even some neurocranial restructuring…some were smart, some were caring, some provided some temporary relief, but I didn’t feel assured of real progress towards a solution. With Dr. Suh, he took X-rays (front and side views, torso length) and examined them way, way, WAY more thoroughly than any other specialist who I’ve visited. He also used some of the Gonstead instrumentation, and some of the areas where there was more compression and inflammation. He was looking to figure out the root of the problem, and not only that, but really seek all the intricacies and complexities related. I have had pelvic obliquity ever since my early youth (leaving my right leg feeling higher and longer than my left), and other scoliotic type issues and TMJ. He did some very precise, helpful Gonstead adjustments on my pelvis and cervical spine, and I felt the difference in alignment…subtle but discernible. As a dancer, I am extremely sensitive to my alignment, and I’m telling you that the improved alignment that I felt after my first session wasn’t just placebo effect. I definitely sensed more balance between my right and left side. By the way, a study I found on PubMed suggests that the Gonstead pelvic adjustment can be particularly powerful for reducing leg length inequalities… the more Gonstead pelvic adjustments that people with LLI got, the more even their leg lengths became, and this was measured by leg length and weight bearing on their feet. Now if you’ve tried other chiropractors and not felt successful, you still should try Dr. Suh. He has been the best specialist I’ve been to, so far as caring for his patients and possessing the capability, knowledge and skills to assess, examine and treat.
